The Castings

Currently under construction, The Castings will deliver 352 new homes in Picadilly East, an emerging neighbourhood just a short walk from the new HS2 station and minutes from Northern Quarter, Picadilly and Ancoats. We have collaborated with adjacent landowners to create a vibrant new community which is part of a wider masterplan that will deliver a significant new public realm, a hotel and additional homes.

As part of our development, we are creating a new public space which will be activated by commercial uses at lower levels. The development also includes a range of amenity areas for residents including a rooftop terrace on the 24th floor with far reaching views of Manchester’s city centre skyline.

Reducing energy consumption has been considered throughout the design and construction with a well-insulated building fabric and energy efficient systems. The building will be all-electric and promote sustainable methods of transport with extensive cycle provision and promotion of car clubs.
